Wendy Cope was my fourth grade teacher. Her class was very memorable because she knew how to work with kids by making learning fun using lots of hands-on projects. We built weather instruments, made volcanoes, and other creative projects that started my love for science, which I'm now studying in college. In our fun art projects, she never expected perfection, but always encouraged creativity. She really cared about each of us, and gave us space to share our thoughts--she had two containers where we could write down anonymous compliments or concerns, and we'd all sit in a circle to read and talk about them. She'd be awesome on the school board because she cares about students and their education. She made a real impact on my learning and I'm so grateful for that.
Rachel Clement, A Former Student, Lindon Elementary

Wendy personally encouraged and supported my daughters who attended Lindon Elementary. As a parent this meant so much to me to know that my children had an additional advocate in their formative elementary years. She would be a profound asset to the new school board with her vast experiences and education, and her deeply invested personal love for the students in her sphere of responsibility!
